Eight residents of a nursing residence in Connecticut have died throughout a coronavirus outbreak whereas 89 residents and staff have examined optimistic for the illness, nursing residence officers say.
The outbreak on the Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Heart in Canaan started Sept. 30, chief govt Kevin O’Connell and nursing director Cady Bloodgood stated in a press release Friday.
The eight residents who died had critical well being issues, in keeping with the officers. Those that examined optimistic included 67 residents and 22 workers members. The officers stated 48 residents and 21 staff have recovered.
